WCFA 2021: Online Curriculum – Call for Videos

The 2021 Women Changing the Face of Agriculture (WCFA) event has been postponed to March 4, 2022 at Carl Sandburg College in Galesburg, Illinois. Our planning committee is disappointed that another event has to be canceled or postponed, but we have decided to look for new ways to accomplish our goals. We plan to do the best we can to still provide useful information for students that showcases careers in the agricultural industry. Our planning committee developed the idea for Online Curriculum for teachers to use in their classrooms.

We will be creating a virtual career exploration event. The videos will include 2-minute introductory clips of our past sponsors and professional participants. Additionally, the curriculum will feature five 5-10 minute keynote videos by women in the agriculture industry that cover a range of in-depth topics.

We would like to invite you to participate in this online opportunity as one of our past sponsors and professional participants of the event. We want to continue to bring awareness to high school girls about the opportunities they can find in the agricultural industry.

Below we have provided additional information about participating in this opportunity.

  • Email your intent to participate in our online career exploration video by January 10, 2021. Please email gayleb88@hotmail.com with your intent and any questions you may have.
  • Videos can be taped using Panopto, Zoom, or any other web conferencing app. Videos can also be prepared with other tools as well.
  • Videos will need to be recorded by February 1, 2021, and uploaded to a Google Drive file upload link.
  • Videos will be in .mp4 format.
  • Videos will be posted on YouTube which will be available on March 5th, 2020, the original event date.
  • We do recommend a video with movement or visual aids to maintain the attention of the viewer.
