About the Project
The Time Has Come to Recognize the Generations of Women in Agricultural Across America
Our goal is to highlight the importance and resilience of the generations of women that have played and continue to play essential roles in production agricultural and agri-businesses. We are seeking female family dynasties who have successfully shared their passion for agriculture with multiple generations. Living women of 3-generation families or more that may have multiple lateral sisters, sisters-in-law, cousins, nieces and aunts, granddaughters and great granddaughters that have found agriculture to be their destiny are eligible.
Who can apply?
Families must meet the following eligibility criteria:
- Have at least two generations who farm, work, or live in the USA.
- Include at least three living generations of women.Family members (living or deceased) must be:
- Involved in or retired from production agriculture, or
- Employed in ag-related industries, or
- Operating a personal ag-based business, or
- A member of FFA, 4-H, or other student ag organizations.
- Show leadership and community involvement.
- At least one generation must be actively involved in production agriculture:
- Deriving 70%+ of income or committing 70%+ of working hours to their operation.
