Diana joined IAW and attended her first AAW Annual Meeting Convention in 2014 in College Corner, Ohio and was very enthusiastic and interested in the business meetings, educational offerings, and the tours. Since that time, she has been a major contributor of her time and skills to both Illinois Agri-Women and the American Agri-Women.
She has served as an editor for both the IAW and AAW newsletters, a member of the IAW planning committee to host the 2018 AAW Annual Meeting and Convention in Springfield, Illinois, planned and hosted several Illinois Agri-Women tours and events in the Bloomington, Illinois area, chaired the Awards Committee of the Illinois Agri-Women, served as President and Past President of the Illinois Agri-Women, served as the IAW Board liaison to the IARC, 501(c)3 of Illinois Agri-Women Board, and is currently a member of the Illinois Agri-Women Board as Central Regional Director.
Diana Ropp grew up on the Ropp Jersey Dairy Farm near Bloomington, Illinois. She was very active in 4-H and showed dairy cattle at the Illinois State Fair. She remains active in 4-H to this day as a leader of Silverleaf Let’s Go Ag 4-H Club and a member of the McLean County 4-H Alumni group, The Timeless Clovers. Thirteen different family members have served as 4-H Club Leaders in McLean and Livingston Counties for more than 350 cumulative years of service as volunteer leaders.
She has actively promoted the cheese products from the Ropp Jersey Cheese. A shop that her cousin established after he joined the family dairy in 2000. Diana is active in her church and is a member of the church choir. She sports Illinoisian of the Day at the Illinois State Fair in 2016, Past President of the Normal Community Alumni Association
Diana attended Illinois State University and received a B.S. in Public Relations/Sociology in1992, and works at State Farm as a claims specialist. She has three children and adores each and every one of her four grandchildren.
