Super Bowl commercial features Illinois Agri-Women Member
Brett and Krista Swanson of Oneida, Illinois Farm Bureau Excellence in Ag Award winners And member of Illinois Agri-Women, will star in an IL Corn 30-second commercial during the Super Bowl.
The “Illinois Runs on Homegrown Corn” commercial will highlight the many products made from corn, including bioplastics, food packaging, clothing, medicine and ethanol.
“As farmers, we take great pride in sustainably growing a crop that can be used in so many ways,” said Krista Swanson. “Our family enjoys sharing that pride and that story with others who might not have the same agricultural roots.”
The commercial will air in five key markets: Peoria, Champaign/Springfield, Quad Cities, Rockford and St. Louis, said Lindsay Mitchell of IL Corn.
In addition to the commercial, IL Corn launched the #FieldGoals campaign, which can be followed online using the #FieldGoals hashtag on Facebook, Instagram and Twitter.
IL Corn also encourages farmers to use the #FieldGoals hashtag during the game and share why they’re proud to grow Illinois corn all year long.
