2023 Hall of Fame
2023 Hall of Fame: Susan Wall
Susie is a Past President of Illinois Agri-Women and has served on various committees. She skillfully served as the 2018 Convention Chair when Illinois Agri-Women hosted the American Agri-Women National convention in Springfield. Serving on a panel of three women, she has also traveled around the country to promote “Annie’s Project”, which then became a national program. She’s been a great agriculture advocate, promoting women and their very important role in farming.
She is co-owner/operator (along w/her husband Don) of Wall Farms and Don Wall Hay Company. Together they farm about 1,000 acres of corn and soybeans, raise beef cattle and also have a hay business outside of Sorento, Illinois-Bond County. Their operation has grown and they have sold top quality hay for more than 45 years in Illinois and surrounding states. They have been a formidable team working together for 50 years; powering through any and all obstacles which farm life brings.
Susan helped to establish the “Sorento Community Development Organization”. And is actively involved locally with “Supporters of Sorento School.” She plays the piano, teaches and sometimes preaches in her church.
Susan and Don have three children who were active in 4-H and FFA and as adults are in agricultural related fields; and their children are as well. Susan also helps at the Marcoot Jersey Creamery when she is needed.
It is with great pleasure Illinois Agri-Women recognize Susan Wall as 2023 Hall of Fame award winner.
