2020 IAW Annual Meeting Recap
The 2020 IAW Annual Meeting is in the books! Thank you to all who braved the weather to attend on Wednesday and an even bigger thank you to our host, Illini FS!
We kicked off the meeting with an engaging presentation from Illinois State Police Trooper Bridget, followed by a business meeting with lots of exciting updates and awards.
Congratulations to…
? IAW Hall of Fame winner, Mary Meinhart (award announced during the 2019 Illinois State Fair)!
? IAW Outstanding Farmer award recipient, Kelsey Vance!
? IAW Outstanding Agri-Businesswoman, Karen Westbrook!
All three ladies have been highly involved with IAW over the years and are deserving of these honors!
Additionally, we want to recognize our retiring officers for their dedicated service to IAW, Shirley Bartelt as outgoing IARC treasurer; Eleanor Zimmerlein as outgoing IAW VP of Advocacy; and Sheila Hunt as outgoing IAW secretary. Thank you, ladies!
Finally, IAW was awarded a $5,000 grant from Compeer Financial to enable us to have educational speakers at the N.E.W. Roots Festival, a new project of IAW, coming to Decatur in June 2020!
